We had an amazing 2011 summer with 117 kids and 65 volunteers!!

(volunteers come on the 28th for staff training)

Theme for 2012 : SUPERHEROES

T.I.C.S. of Georgia’s Camp Twitch and Shout is a one week overnight camp for children ages 7-17 with Tourette syndrome. Located at Camp Will-A-Way outside Atlanta, GA in partnership with Camp Twin Lakes.

Here children are able to go and enjoy the camping experiences without fear of being different. Many of these kids have difficult times making friends while others have never met someone with Tourette syndrome.

At camp, the children focus on their strengths and enjoy positive experiences so when they return home and struggle in the real world, they will be able to look back at all the things they were able to accomplish at camp and say, “I can find success because I was successful at Camp Twitch and Shout.”

One camper stated, “I wake up every morning thinking that I’m one day closer to camp.”

Tourette Information Center and Support of Georgia, known as T.I.C.S. of Georgia, is a 501c3 non-profit organization that organizes and supports the Camp Twitch and Shout programs. We also have the Camp Twitch and Shout Family weekend each fall for a chance for the familys and silbings to experience the amazingness that the child with Tourettes does. Donations made to T.I.C.S. of Georgia requesting to support the Camp Twitch and Shout programs can be sent to: Camp Twitch and Shout, PO Box 813040, Smyrna, Georgia 30081.
